Dalia Shamir for Taiko Life
Designed by Einat Chitayat
My name is Dalia Shamir, a jewelry designer and silver and goldsmith. I came to the world of jewelry in search of a connection between handwork, design, beauty and aesthetics.
All jewelry is made with my personal hand claim, using classic goldsmithing techniques. I believe in the added value of manual work, which leaves my mark in each of my works.
In recent years I have been exposed to Taiko Life Israel. Glad to take part in this amazing experience, and really enjoy drumming and studying at the academy.
This jewelry line was created in collaboration between Einat and Natai and Bini. From the beautiful logo that Einat designed, I created a line of jewelry in a clean and minimalist style.
The Taiko Life Triangle is about reconnection - a deconstructed triangle which challenges us to see things differently, to rebuild in our mind what seems to us lacking, and find beauty and perfection in that which is not complete.
To rebuild we must reconnect - and within this triangular canvas one can find shapes which offer reconnection through understanding and balance:
Connection with the External - elements of Nature: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Space/Void/Spirit - represented by smaller triangles (alchemy)
Connection with the Internal - Star of David (represents various elements and the attainment of balance between them) & Mitsu Tomoe (3 comma-like shapes which represents the balance of forces in the universe, a symbol commonly seen on taiko drums in Japan)
